What We Do

Support that goes where it’s needed

Impact Buckingham helps families in Buckingham and the surrounding villages who are facing financial hardship. We started with Christmas — putting a proper festive dinner on the table for families who would otherwise go without — and we’re now expanding to support those same families through the long summer holidays, when school meals stop and budgets stretch furthest.

We work hand in hand with local schools, who know their families best. Every hamper is filled with quality food from local suppliers. And because our running costs are covered separately by our founders and trustees, every pound donated by the public goes straight into hampers and support for families.

How our community came together

In just four weeks, our community packed and delivered 75 festive hampers to local families through partner schools across Buckingham. Each one contained fresh meat, vegetables, festive trimmings and all the Christmas extras — supported by 63 Gift Aid donors, 81 online donations, a Carols at The Mitre collection, and goods donated by The Mitre Pub.

Reaching the right families, the right way

We never guess who needs help, and we never ask families to come forward. Our partner schools identify families using their own professional knowledge and Pupil Premium records — so support reaches exactly where it’s needed, with no awkwardness and no judgement. Impact Buckingham holds no personal data about the families we support.

We registered with the Charity Commission on 3 December 2025 and delivered our first hampers before schools broke up for Christmas.

Gift Aid added £432 at no cost to donors.
