Our Community

Impact Buckingham only works because Buckingham works together. These are the businesses, suppliers and people who make our hampers possible.
When this charity started, we knew we couldn’t do it alone. A festive hamper shouldn’t just be about getting by — it should bring a bit of joy. That takes a whole network of people: businesses who donate, suppliers who go above and beyond, and neighbours who give up their evenings to pack and deliver. We call it our supply chain of kindness, and we’re proud of every link in it.
Four coworkers sit around a wooden railing in a cafe, one man gestures as he explains while a woman holds a tablet and listens, others observe.

Where it all started: The Mitre

Impact Buckingham was born at The Mitre Pub in Buckingham, in December 2025. The pub was our first home, our packing HQ, and the heart of our first festive campaign. The Mitre covered our running costs in those founding months, gave us the space to coordinate, and rallied its regulars to help build and deliver hampers across the town.
We carry that spirit forward. The charity now operates independently as Impact Buckingham, but the story of how we began — around the pub, the bar, and the people who drink there — is one we’ll always be proud of.

Dayla Drinks

Dayla were originally the team keeping The Mitre’s cellar stocked. For our first campaign, they became a cornerstone of the whole operation. They didn’t just write a cheque — they opened their contact books and rallied the industry, coordinating donations of stock from some of the biggest names in the business including Moretti, Salty Dog, Fentimans, Fever-Tree, Coca-Cola and Walkers. On top of that, Dayla personally donated a bottle of wine for every single hamper, so each family could toast the day. It’s a reminder that business relationships can grow into genuine friendships.

Our Local Partners

The idea started small — a few hampers for locals who needed a boost. Once word got out, it snowballed, and local business leaders stepped up immediately to pledge their support:
Goods for the hampers were also sourced through Tesco, and supported by collections at our Carols at The Mitre evening.
A cluttered shelf of festive items: wine bottle, jam jar, crackers, and assorted gift boxes.

The People Who Showed Up

The regulars at The Mitre rallied round in a way that money can’t measure. They brought in mince pies and chocolates, gave up their evenings to build and distribute the boxes, and gave generously at our carol collection. When you open a hamper from us, you’re seeing the collective goodwill of an entire community — delivered by people who simply wanted to help their neighbours.

Could your business help?

We’re always looking for local suppliers and businesses to join our supply chain of kindness — whether that’s donating goods, sponsoring hampers, or lending us your time and expertise. If you’d like to be part of the next campaign, we’d love to hear from you.
