Every Impact Buckingham campaign is built the same way:

local people, local businesses and local schools coming together to support families in Buckingham who need a helping hand. Each campaign below is funded by our community and accounted for in full. As we grow, this page will grow with us.

Our First Festive Campaign

Festive Hampers, December 2025

Impact Buckingham (originally registered as Mitre Impact) was founded at The Mitre Pub in December 2025, with a clear and immediate purpose: to support families in Buckingham and the surrounding area facing financial hardship at the most expensive time of year.
Within four weeks of registration — with the help of partner schools, generous donors and an army of volunteers at The Mitre — we delivered our first campaign.

What We Did

  • Packed and distributed 75 festive food hampers.
  • Worked with local schools to identify the Pupil Premium families most in need.
  • Delivered hampers through schools at the end of term, with a small number of direct home deliveries where appropriate.
  • Filled each hamper with fresh meat, vegetables, festive food and treats — an average of £39 of food per family.

What we raised

  • £3,993 in cash donations, including online donations, direct transfers, Gift Aid reclaimed from HMRC, and cash collected at our Carols at The Mitre evening.
  • £820 in donated goods purchased by The Mitre Pub for the hampers.
  • £4,813 total community generosity.

Who supported us

  • 63 Gift Aid donors, enabling us to reclaim £432 from HMRC.
  • 81 separate online donations through our website and JustGiving.
  • Direct giving from individual supporters, local businesses and Greene King Local Donations.
  • Cash given by carollers and pub-goers at The Mitre.

Where the money went

  • Every penny of donations went either into the 2025 hampers or into reserves for our 2026 activities.
  • No administrative costs, no salaries, no overheads.
  • £1,813 carried forward to fund our 2026 work, including planned grants and voucher distributions to local Pupil Premium families.

Coming next: Summer 2026

The school summer holidays are one of the hardest times of year for families on tight budgets — six weeks with no school meals and children at home all day. Building on our first Christmas campaign, Impact Buckingham is expanding to offer support to local Pupil Premium families through the summer of 2026.
