17 July 2026
Today marks the high point of our Summer Holidays Campaign 2026. This morning, 103 supermarket vouchers — each worth £75 — went out to families at Lace Hill Academy and George Grenville Academy, with a further 46 following to Bourton Meadow Academy on Monday.
In total, that’s 149 vouchers worth £11,175, reaching families across three Buckingham schools just as the summer holidays begin.
Why we did it
The summer holidays are a lovely time — but for many families they also mean six weeks without school meals, at a point when food costs are already stretching household budgets. Our vouchers are there to take a little of that pressure off. Each one is worth £75, and every family chooses the supermarket that suits them best.
There are no strings attached and nothing to repay. Each school passed the letters on directly to families, guided by Pupil Premium, and no family details are ever shared with us — the whole process is completely confidential from start to finish. That matters to us: this is about neighbours looking out for neighbours, with dignity at the heart of it.
The vouchers are issued through Huggg, a secure voucher platform used by councils, schools and charities across the UK, so claiming one takes just a minute on a phone or computer.
Made possible by our town
None of this would have happened without the extraordinary generosity of the people and businesses of Buckingham.
The campaign was funded by a *£5,000 grant from the Rothschild Foundation Grassroots Grant Fund, awarded through Heart of Bucks, together with donations from local residents and Buckingham businesses including *Blackpit Brewery, Stowaway Festival, The Mitre, Browns Hairdressing and Edwards Surfacing.
To every one of you — the businesses who dug deep, the residents who gave what they could, and the schools who worked with us to get these vouchers into the right hands — thank you. You’ve made this summer a little easier for 149 local families.
Hear from one of our customers
Hi Beth
The vouchers have been received and distributed to our families.
“Can I please say how kind and generous Impact Buckingham is and what a difference you are making to so many families. The response to receiving the vouchers has been incredible.“.
Thank you from everyone at George Grenville Academy
